A high mountain pass
and detours for flooding kept
us busy today

1. The hills of north California.....rain, rain, rain....

2. Highway 505 closed due to flooding. It took 3 detours on the GPS and one hour to find our motel this afternoon. 

3. Bathroom in our motel.....lights are on sensors and keep coming on as we move about.....weird! 

I thought our drive through the Siskiyou Pass on Interstate 5 was going to be our challenge today (elevation 4, 129 ft) but it was bare and wet (no snow) with light traffic flowing smoothly. Piece of cake.

Finding our motel via GPS with closed roadways tried my patience, especially during torrential rain while driving highway speeds.
