Eda’s tree …

is no more!

I’d heard there had been a lot of clearing of rhododendrons up in St Ives Estate but haven’t been up there for a while. Today I made it for the early (7.15am) walk which wasn’t too wet and as we returned past the end of Coppice Pond I saw the impact. I was sad to see this gone as all the children loved climbing it especially Eda. It was already dead I think and I do understand the need to remove the disease carrying bushes, it just looks a bit sad.

Going to singing this afternoon as I can’t go on Monday and today is the second session for the Thursday group so I’m posting early.

Finished my starfish last night. I’m pleased with it but won’t show it until the recipient sees it, so I’ve started sorting my Christmas jigsaw ‘The World of Agatha Christie’. To do this I had to clear the last one I did before Christmas off the mat. It was the ‘World of Sherlock Holmes’ - extra. Not that bothered about Sherlock Holmes but it was only £3 on the charity stall at Tittle Tattle, I can take it back now!. I loved the Lucy Worsley programme about Christie and her book was on the same stall for 50p!

This looks a bit different as it’s more about interiors rather than city or town locations and has 90 clued to her books.

PaulaJ is doing the ‘World of the Brontes’, think I will have to look for that one.
