Heartfelt

This sculpture is in the hospital where the Ards Man is being treated for a very severe throat infection, a rare complication of having a dental anaesthetic injection!

My attention was drawn to this as I thought it looked like lung alveoli surrounded by little capillaries. It’s in a heart shape though, so I’m not sure if lungs were the artist’s inspiration.

Thankfully the AM is much improved. He’s still having iv antibiotics and being so well looked after. Hopefully he’ll be home tomorrow!
