The new bookcase with built in cupboard.
The Feast Day of Saint Gregory of Nyssa.
Today is 7c and forecast to rain all day. It is being windy too.
The TV aerial across the street is wobbling and all the starlings are no where to be seen, no doubt sheltering somewhere.
This bookcase is our newest piece of furniture from the same shop on our High Street, E Haworth, who have been retailing since 1958, God bless them. They are a family firm, friendly and good quality. We bought our sofa and armchair from them.
The wood is quite textured, so Paul is going to give it a coat of clear varnish.
The books are mostly reference and religious. In the cupboard are Scrabble and Scrabble 360 and Quiddler. We have a study and music room upstairs, so there are more books and games up there.
We enjoy doing puzzles and general knowledge quizzes. As we age, it is good to keep our brains active.
I am waiting to hear how my daughter's interview went yesterday. It could mean a promotion.
I bought an aran cream poncho from the online sale in Ireland. I looked at
all the options and this one seems the most versatile and useful. It has my husband's family clan aran pattern. The Oak tree and a helmet are part of our family crest.
Take care, keep warm and enjoy Tuesday, blip friends.
