Tapioca Stall at Hippy Market, Ipanema

It being Sunday, we went to the hippy market in Ipanema and walked there - right along the front of Copacabana beach into Ipanema, stopping for a break at the Arp cafe restaurant on the Arpoador stretch.  After our usual wander round the stands, we wandered round the streets of Ipanema, wondering whether to stay there for a late lunch/early dinner or get a taxi back to La Maison, one of our favourites in Copa.  The rain was never far away and in fact it got a bit cold and so we put on on an extra t-shirt we'd carried with us.  We decided to taxi it back in the end and then had chicken and patatas Portuguesas (kind of like thick crisps) in La Maison and a few games of Yatzee.  It was nice to meet the artist again who we bought the painting from that we have up in our studio here.  I also bought a couple of necklaces and earrings.   All in all, a nice Sunday.
