2023 Friday — Dentist Appointment

Finally I have completed the tooth implant episode that began in December of 2020 when my periodontist confirmed that I had an infection in my upper left jawbone that caused me to lose a tooth and need to have the bone grafted so it would be strengthened. All of that was caused because my family doctor had prescribed a medication several years ago that was to help with my osteoporosis. So the medicine (drug) was supposedly building the bones of my body and destroying my jawbone. My periodontist warned me when my doctor prescribed it, that it was not good for my jawbone.

I also today had the tooth next to the implant crowned because that tooth crumbled this past summer. It’s called “getting old.” It’s a privilege many people don’t get.

I’m thankful for dental insurance. This has been expensive even with very good dental insurance.

That’s my story for Day 6 of this new year.
