Sally Mair - Loving life

Out and about

Finally a day I could be lazy in and have a long lie this morning, so I did!
Alloy and Josie came over at lunch time and after eating we headed down to Stockbridge. We'd hardly got there when the rain started unexpectedly. We stopped for a coffee and bun in Hamilton Place - the first space with room for a buggy everyone else had the same idea! Then headed back to where we had parked. The main blip is the lovely sky around 4.00 pm when we came out after our coffee. It was very unexpectedly brought and clear. We went to have a look at Antony Gormley after he was submerged last week. No wonder his title is 'look down' , he must be modified that there he was, minding his own business while standing there stark naked in the river only to find he had had some twigs and blue rope draped around his neck, honestly!
I spent this evening trying to work out how to comment on the latest council roads n̶o̶n̶s̶e̶n̶s̶e̶ ̶ plans. They put temporary bus lanes on our road near Craigleith and at Barnton as part of their spaces for people, covid traffic plans. They've caused huge tail backs and delays at times when the road used to run clear. I've just disvovered that they now want to make them operational for 24 hours rather than only peak time. Completely unnecessary in our opinion and definitely increasing the fumes and emissions around our house. Hmmm, it's not easy to find the ways to comment either.
My second extra is a screenshot of a picture by someone called Fishygordon of Katy, Ali and Josie doing park run in the rain this morning and looking remarkably cheery about it too!
