Beyond my Ken
Let there be light, or at least a TV signal, but that is not to be, today anyway.
A very kind young neighbour came and had a look at the IT gubbins in a box from which my technological flat is delivered of things beyond my ken and which sits in the hall cupboard.
He thinks the little black box into which the TV cable comes from who knows where on the outside is caput. To further my immediate needs he has ordered a Fire-stick from Amazon which attaches to the TV and allows me to view programmes on the internet
My extra blip shows what I’m up against with the mess of IT leads which confront me when the box in the cupboard is opened. I will phone the original installer of 12 years ago to come and see what’s what on Monday. It’s too much of a jumble to contemplate trying to work out how to do anything with what looks like the inside of a telephone exchange.
Meanwhile it’s Tv on the IPad and afternoon tea with my young neighbour and his new wife . Happy Days.
