A surprise visitor …
….. ….. in the Arrow River today.
I’ve not seen a black shag there before. He seemed quite at home though.
We walked up past the Norman Smith bridge to the next ford, and then called it a day. Pacer still clocked over 10,000 steps for the day so that’s a vast improvement on what I was achieving a few months ago!
My son that was stuck on Great Barrier Island finally got himself over to Auckland today, on the ferry. He managed to get a cancellation. People will be getting desperate to get back to the mainland with the flights being cancelled due to poor visibility. He’s now booked to fly down here tomorrow at 6:35am. Here’s hoping that that works!
There are storms all over New Zealand at present, with gales & thunderstorms & torrential rain. We’re not seeing any of it here, yet.
