Railings

The New Town has railings in most of the streets; these are on Queen Street gardens. There's been work in progress for months to prepare a long section of these railings for repainting. Nice to see the buds on the laurel in the hedge.

Went to see the Society of Scottish Artists annual exhibition in the morning. Many of the pieces would work for other public spaces but not on domestic walls. Selecting one piece by Jane Stokes to put a detail from it in the extra. 

Enjoyed preparing for and having visitors at the flat in the afternoon. A late batch of cards arrived too with several from the USA.
