Poppy gates

Not quite what @Biker_Bear had in mind for Flower Friday ..

These are flood prevention gates on the road next to the Water of Leith, artist Greg Magee; the road is the access for Lady Haig's Poppy Factory. Walked from here up to the Warriston Path then through to the Botanics. Found a patch of snowdrops just coming out; then more in George V park on the way back. 

Tried to go swimming in the morning, but Glenogle Baths had an alarm on the steam room so the pool was closed too; it reopened later on. Call postponed from yesterday happened in the late afternoon.
