Rosehips.

Allotment walk with Ginny today - a watery sun and quite warm but still muddy underfoot.  These hips have been untouched by the birds but two  pyracantha bushes nearby have been completely stripped - not one berry left.  
A very clean, soft and fluffy rat made his way back down into the gallery he has made in my compost bin when I lifted the lid to throw in some more disgusting looking scraps for him.  What a life!
