Sunset at Capitola beach after a storm

I walked down to Capitola today to see how it looks after the Big Storm. The beach was pretty messy (see extras), but lots of people were around enjoying the lovely late afternoon. Extras show more beach scenes.

The REAL storm is coming early tomorrow morning. Over the next two weeks, a series of storms guarantee the weather will be wet, windy and wild. I refreshed the grab-and-go bags for me and Kyoshi and put them in the car along with blankets and towels in case we have to leave quickly. I'm not in an evacuation zone, thank goodness, since I'm up a hill from the local stream, but I'm surrounded by trees and the wind is predicted to be pretty strong. Stay tuned.
