Old and new (ish)

Went to Glasgow today to see the planned work to transform the Theatre Royal. I meant to take a blip of that but was so absorbed, in what will be an amazing transformation, I completely forgot. Anyway on the way back to the station I saw this wonderful reflection which shows an old building mirrored onto an newer building. The Theatre Royal will have a new section built onto the existing Victorian Theatre giving a wonderful new space and creating a juxtaposition similar to the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh or His Majesties Theatre in Aberdeen. All of these new elements are however, much nicer than this pictured 70s building. It's due to open in May 2014 with Madam Butterfly being performed by Scottish Opera. I am looking forward to seeing the finished version.
