First Deer of the Year

I had tossed the bird seed all over the ground, gone back inside, and then decided to put a few sunflower seeds on the rocks in front of the house because there were juncos there looking for a little something. I opened the door and OOPS there was this gal. I love when that happens. She just looked at me. I said hello, ducked inside to get my camera, came back out and she let me take a few shots of her. Several minutes later we looked out and there were five of them out there. I don't think the jays or squirrels got any of the peanuts except the ones I put up in the crook of the maple tree!
