Showing off some whiskers

Looking at him, on the right side you can see his missing ear tip and no white eyebrows. The ear tip was removed by the vet when the boy was neutered, he was considered to be a feral cat the thinking would be to return him to where he was trapped, in our garden, he would then go about his normal way of life as before.

However a lovely CP colleague could see he was a softy and offered to keep him for a few weeks, to check his chance of coping with a domestic life style. He did this perfectly, no issues other than an inbuilt wariness and we decided to adopt him. He stayed inside for eight weeks, mixing with the others, particularly our dear late Mackie and wary about going back outside when the time came. Eventually he gained confidence and out he would go with the others, ‘the gang are in the garden’ as our neighbour A would say.

It wasn’t until the summer months he started to venture further afield and would disappear for a few days, weeks and then months. The first summer he was away for six months and we feared the worst. It is always a pleasure to see him, currently every day. He is about four and half years old now and a credit to the work CP can do to help cats.
