Sorting out Christmas lights

with little girl helping out. The lights have spent a few years squashed in a jar with another set looking pretty during the month of December. John spotted a number of duff bulbs and decided to pull the lot out, not easy through narrow opening. He spent quite some time sorting, straightening and making the bulbs work, or not, with pusscat looking in in bewilderment. The jury is still out on the fate of the lights, should they stay or should they go.

Meantime my job was to go on line and look for a set of coloured outside lights, with a plug and not too lengthy, this also seemed to take an unreasonable amount of time, I had no idea of the variety of varieties. In the end I chose a set and ordered two lots and have to hope they suit their purpose. At least by next December we will accept whatever comes to hand once that cardboard box is opened.
