Twin twin situation....

This Swiss 'boy' (Tiziano) and I have been friends since we met as 22yr old innocents in Edinburgh. From the very start, we were like brother and sister.

Over the past 36 years we've stayed with each other more times than I can remember, celebrated weddings, cried at separations, delighted in births and mourned the dead.

When his daughter was christened in 2001, I was thrilled to go over to Basel as godmother. And now, my goddaughter Sabina has given birth to twins, making Tiziano a grandfather.

Which would amuse me highly......if he didn't keep calling me a Godgrandmother!
