Another turn round the sun

Wee T and Gabby stripped the beds, stacked their dirty teacups in the machine, ate foie gras like there was no tomorrow and then were gone. 

We dragged Isaac's mattress from the living room to the spare room, jettisoned the empty bottles, washed and hang sheets out to dry, packed up the raclette machine and brought the new year spuds in from the doorstep.

The guitars fell silent and the sun set on the first day of 2023.
