Magpie Mine

As I have been stuck indoors since Christmas, I really wanted to get out despite the dismal weather. 

We drove into the Peak District and ended up at Magpie Mine, where we took some images and got chatting to two volunteers, who very kindly opened up places that are normally not available to the public. 

It's good to read information boards but it's even better to speak with people that know so much about the history and can make a place come alive for you.
