... and relax

It's been a very pleasant New Year's Day. We were a bit busy this morning doing the last of the cleaning and tidying and sorting out the food for lunch but after that it has been very relaxing.

The seven of us that sat down to lunch go way back, all connected through the sport of gliding. But these days our conversation ranges from books and television to politics and current affairs to best garden centres and best new apps. It was really enjoyable. And as you can see from the blip, Sky enjoyed it too! She made a point of spending time with some of the guests and got a lot of fuss in return. We are mostly cleared up, with the dishwasher doing the heavy lifting, just a few wineglasses left for hand washing. So a good start to the year even if the blip is not the most exciting.

Many thanks to the kind folks who wished me a Happy Blip Day yesterday as well as a Happy New Year. I can hardly believe I have been doing this for a year.The time has just whizzed past. It has been really enjoyable to look at so many interesting and beautiful photographs and to read a little about your lives - the joys and the sorrows.

So Happy New Year to one and all and I look forward to another enjoyable year on Blipfoto.
