New Year, First Blipfoto
A very unexpected start to the New Year - this morning our senior cat, Tosca, decided it was time to join the great cattery in the sky. She jumped off the sofa, made her way to the kitchen for breakfast, fell onto her side, moaned a little, took a big gasp and was gone. It was all over within little more than a minute. There had been no signs that something was wrong and we think it was probably a fatal heart attack. She was a rescue cat and we believe about sixteen years old (we had had her about eight years) so not a bad innings and a good way to go.
Later we went for our customary New Year's Day walk at Frensham Ponds. To our surprise the 'beach' was heaving with swimmers. Yes it's warm for the time of year but there was a stiff breeze. Rather them than me.
This afternoon we have a burial to organise.
