Overnight light snow meant the cars were covered but the drive home was frustrated by huge areas of water and puddles across the roads.  Part of the M9 was closed necessitating a diversion through Stirling while the family also experienced long delays as the M74 was badly flooded near Abington as they drove south. They agreed the short break was worth it especially with the snowy views.
