In 1922 five adventurous men climbed Pikes Peak with fireworks in their backpacks to shoot off on New Year's Eve. Every year since then another man joined the club, and others joined the climb as guests of the club.
So this is the 100th anniversary of the AdAmAn tradition and nowadays the fireworks are carried up by truck and make quite a show. But the climbers still climb the 13 mile long Barr Trail.
Here's hoping we will have a clear view of the show!
