Christmas Washing

The (mysterious) village wreath knitter has been busy.

Waited inside all morning for the rain to stop, so the ‘morning’ dog walk didn’t happen until lunchtime. Merlin enjoyed wading through the water logged meadow and despite the wet, the fresh air and exercise did indeed feel a joy. The streams are filled to the top of their banks - it will be interesting (!) to see how much deeper the water will be in the field after tomorrow’s rain - which is forecast to be heavy all day.

The rest of the day was mainly spent pottering at home. It seems I have passed the lurgy onto Andy so our plans for a gathering with family to celebrate the arrival of the New Year have been put on hold.
