Gourmet Meal

We had a very late night - with a midnight airport run. Catherine arrived safely - she and G took a taxi from the airport. I had driven G to the airport, expecting to bring us all back, but Terminal 3 Arrivals has become so chaotic I think our days of picking people up from the airport are well and truly over. As always, I have a plan.

So, the day began with taking Diane to what used to be Cafe Ceramique for her birthday. She'd never done anything like this before, so was excited. G & I chose a piece to paint together; Diane chose a penguin. It took a couple of hours to create our masterpieces. We then walked around the mall (Town Centre) before coming home.

Catherine wasn't up yet, so we had lunch. We had an invitation to a special birthday dinner by friend Farzan's sons. They hatched up an elaborate plan to invite her close friends, cook, serve and keep her busy on the day as it was a surprise!

It all worked out well, and the food was excellent. Farzan's sons are truly impressive! We got home around midnight, shattered. It's been a long but good day.
