Seen better days
Today's walk took us around the fields and steadings surrounding my sister-in-law's home and particularly along the banks of the River Deveron which is a famous and prolific salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishery and in terms of catches is consistently the fifth highest in Scotland. I very nearly blipped the photo of the languid, deep waters with the green fishermen's hut on the bank, but decided instead to put up this one of very old farm buildings we came across in our wanderings which, despite being in great need of repair, still looked rather magnificent.
We spent the afternoon dabbling with our watercolour sketches and then completed a really relaxing weekend with a delicious supper at the local Golf Club. Travelling home, the roads were much quieter than during my journey north but again I was a frustrated blipper when i came across the fields of daffodils again, only this time it was worse as they were ablaze with colour from the dying sun - and still there was nowhere to safely pull off the road!!
if you are interested here are a couple of photos from the coastal walk yesterday, here and here.
