British Summer Time.

My good blip intentions were thwarted by time, tide and elements.
Annie and I had another fabulous breakfast at the wonderful B&B in Seahouses and set off with the intention of trying out our new graduated ND filters on some landscapes and long exposure seascapes.
First lesson: check the tide times - water was half way to Norway!
Second lesson: check access to the beach - not always as free and easy as you might hope.
Third lesson: raindrops on filters don't enhance the effect!

So after negotiating a former army firing range, being unable to access the beach due to barbed wire fences, we headed back to Scotland stopping off in Berwick for coffee and a some banker blips.
The tide was still too far out at North Berwick and I left my filter holder in Annie's car (that woman has the patience of a saint) she made two trips back to the car park while I faffed with my tripod trying to get foreground interest and the Bass Rock in the frame. Utter failure!
We rallied back along the coast road stopping in Direlton where Annie used to live, a charming place and I had a wee west coast smile at the posters in the outdoor toilet in the gallery where we had coffee.

A lovely weekend with lots of laughs and some good photography experience, if anyone is looking for a B&B in North Sunderland, get in touch, I can recommend a great one.
So after all the excitement and great blip opportunities of the weekend the rain caught up with us - these Berwick tulips by the customer less ice cream van is a sad sign of the rotten spring weather.
