Blubberhouses

The upper reservoir in the valley ends up at a small village called Blubberhouses - though in reality it's a loose collection of houses quite spread out. This is the view across Fewston Reservoir to the small village church. I have fond memories of attending the carol service here the Christmas my mother and stepfather moved to the valley...

A dank afternoon, cold and full of drizzle. Not the most inspiring shot ever, but I think the church standing on the hillside represents the area quite well.

(Blubberhouses is a great name, but there's also Glasshouses up the road, and even better Bedlam is not far away either.)
