stormy seas

I drove into Sidmouth through the pouring rain this morning. As I got out of the car very close to the coast I was blasted by a gust of wind and a couple told me how exciting the sea was. After buying a meat thermometer, I ventured down to the coast where I was nearly blown over. The waves were coming right over onto the promenade and I watched as a lady with her dog got drenched. I didn’t stay long.
A stop at the supermarket and all ready for our son, daughter in law and Leo, the dog, to arrive late afternoon. We did a quick walk as it was getting dark. At least the afternoon was dry.
