The Four Seasons At Sainte Chapelle

After getting up a bit late this morning, we took the train to Versailles. Every time I take even short rides on European trains, I am reminded how far the US has fallen behind in mass transportation. The gardens at Versailles were under construction so not has beautiful as they might have been. The highlight of the tour of versailles was the hall of mirrors although the crowds took away from the enjoyment.

Tonight we heard a string quartet at La Sainte-Chapelle playing Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The setting was magical and the music delightful. Made for a wonderful end of the day.

Tomorrow we take the train to Southern France.
