Marine mince pies

Took Darwin up town first thing to get J Christmas card and a birthday card for mum. Town and the shops were deserted at 9am which I was surprised at as I expected loads more blokes frantically running around getting presents. Darwin had a nice walk around town and was a big hit in Fat Face. Started to prep the beef wellington when we got back and then took the dogs to the field in the afternoon to wear them out. Managed to try out the embossed rolling pin J bought on her girls weekend away to make some more mince pies. Bit fiddly as the pastry tended to stick in the shapes but the tops worked out quite well, by the time they were cooked you didn’t notice the pattern on the bottoms. Beef wellington turned out great for dinner and it was another night of TV and jigsaw.
