Day 3 of our Christmas Memory Making

Oh boy! The pups had me up more than a newborn babe last night. When I finally fell asleep this morning at 6:00 am, I overslept until 8:30. Got up, took care of doggies and quickly made a large bowl of slaw. Got to my mother’s and pitched in with my sister to finalize her lunch prep. Once everyone arrived, we had Mass in the great room. Father Bill celebrated the Liturgy especially for my mother and our sister who is in the hospital. He planned to stop by to bless her on his way back to Baltimore. Then we feasted on a delicious meal/desserts. Mancil gave Momma a puzzle made from a picture he took of a tulip field. She was thrilled. Before the kids left, they each took a pack of snowflake ornaments she has crocheted this year. That made her day. I headed back to my daughter’s around 2:30 with goodies for my dinner, similar to the other guests. Was so tired that I dozed off for a bit while I was driving, the very reason I do not like driving at all. There is a nap planned very soon. I will spend another night here rather than risk driving again today. Will head to Kim’s around 11:00 am to sit with Trek and Shadow. Kristen’s family is on the ship. She had a lovely surprise awaiting her and the family from her boss and his wife. They love her to death. Have a wonderful week folks. Be safe as you travel. Thanks for the visit. “Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance — a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.” — Augusta E. Randel
