The kids are home 25/12 Christmas Day

You know your family are here when you cant move for shoes!
A lovely relaxed Christmas Eve and Day.
The boys and K arrived about 5:30, and all was good on Friday.

We had a lovely meal and played a new game-  Herd Mentality. On Saturday we went into town for a few last bits, coffee etc. afternoon of wrapping and prep. Game was Mr Lister.  Then dinner was a giant grazing selection: baked Camembert, other cheeses, charcuterie, olives, bread etc. and could be a new favourite. Very easy ahead of the big day. Not like my neighbour; her daughters bf insisted on cooking them a 5 course dinner!

Then I headed off to midnight service as I was helping. R, G and K came down too: lovely. Didn’t get to bed till 1! Awake at 7 am the next day - I love that hour of peace :)
Christmas Day was very relaxed. FC was very generous- the turn taking unwrapping took ages!! I can tell my kids are now grown ups by the great gifts!

Lunch about 2:30, again very relaxed but magnificent if I do say so myself. Another way I know they’re fully functioning adults is when they take over the washing up! The afternoon included lots of drinks, Katie makes great cocktails: we had espresso martinis and old fashioneds, whilst playing rounds of “ Jack Change It”. I had to wash the kitchen floor before I went to bed as we had a gravy incident earlier. ….! But apart from that the place looks good as I survey it now Just writing this in the golden hour at 7 again . Have a wonderful Boxing Day..
