Dirleton
we had a fabulous dinner last night at the Jolly Fisherman in Craster, then back to our wonderful B&B to blip! thank you all so much for the stars, faves and comments for my puffin shot yesterday, you sent it to the spotlight and made it my all time most popular blip!! I'm flabbergasted!!
we decided today to head off to find some sky to experiment with nd grad filters - we have both just acquired a set. we found a spot we thought would be ideal but when we got there we couldn't access the beach, thanks to a barbed wire fence and a sign telling us that this was an ex military target range and NOT to pick up anything metal as it may explode and kill us!! nice! but we set up the tripods anyway and had a good time playing.
We headed off up the coast and stopped at Berwick on Tweed for coffee and cake and a few photos, then decided to take the scenic route up the coast. We stopped at North Berwick where I played photographer's assistant to Anne, who wanted to try some slow water shots, and then we went two miles along the road to Dirleton. I lived here for 5 years from 1982 - 87 so it was a real nostalgia trip for me. I went and looked at my old house but decided I would blip the village green and church.
then up the road to drop Anne off at Waverley station and home by 6pm. A fabulous weekend, and thanks Anne for your company. next time it is to be the West Coast - in a tent!!
so excited about the reaction to my puffin, rain spots and all. I have some new subscribers, thank you all, and thanks again for making it so special.
if anyone need a B&B in this area let me know, ours was absolutely perfect
