Happy Christmas

We are home alone this year, but with the joys of technology we shared present opening on line with R & S at 11am. It was great fun with the dogs and cats joining in when something caught their attention. 

I was awake at 8.30 to get the crockpot on with the gammon. Needless to say I took a cup of coffee back to bed for an extra half an hour rest before getting up proper. Everything  else had been prepared yesterday, so was cooked as required. It’s a long time since it was food for two on the day,  so I have loads of leftovers, some in the fridge for the next few days and the rest frozen. 

We managed to get washed up and tidied, in time for the King’s speech. I then had a nap with Amber on the settee before we walked her. 

The final treat for the day is lined up, port and spiced almond frangipanes ready for the next call from the family. R was well organised and the necessary requirements were included with our presents. She has a duplicate set with her.
