Merry Christmas Eve
We had a wonderful day and our meal turned out delicious with everyone’s donation. We received thoughtful loving gifts and I believed ours were appreciated as well. We so enjoyed watching River tear into his packages with delight. He hugged the folks who gave him each present and said thank you. Abi was so sad to miss the get together. We compromised and face timed while gifts were opened. But Jamie’s family waited and hubby and I went over and we exchanged gifts and had dinner in person. From there, we went to Kristen’s for Skylar’s 18th birthday cake. We got to 7:00 pm Mass with time to spare to spend time thanking the Lord for the greatest Gift of all. We figure we’ve survived COVID and will again if anyone happens to still have the germ. Both grands tested negative today. Kristen’s family will head to the airport very early tomorrow morning and will meet their cruise ship in New Orleans. The only damper on our day is that Millie our kitty appears to be gravely ill. She has hidden in the bedroom closet we call the kitty cat club house. We keep a sleeping bag on the floor for them and Blanche hides in there. Now Millie is there, very lethargic. Hubby was able to give her a little dinner. We have enjoyed her for 16 years. God’s will be done. Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed Christmas blip friends. “May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope; the spirit of Christmas which is peace; the heart of Christmas which is love.” - Ada V Hendricks
