Set off for the hospital a bit earlier than I usually would as I’d been told the buses and roads were really busy and I know how easy it is to get lost on the campus(despite the myriad of signs). Arrived 25 minutes early! Had a nice chat to a man who was waiting for his wife- turned out he was having golf lessons from my nephew. Love those little connections that happen sometimes. Got called in a box t early and was connected to the various monitors and strapped onto a couch. Started by being flat for 10 minutes and then tilted at various angles for 15 minutes each up to near standing . The hope was that this would cause me to faint but no luck until they used a vasodilator which did the trick very successfully! Came round after a bit longer than usual but as normal felt fine once I’d laid flat with a cold compress on my head for a couple of minutes. There was a significant and sudden drop in my blood pressure but nothing else changed which is pointing to the most common cause of sudden and persistent fainting. Have to wait to see the consultant though, of course.
Caught the bus up to Su’s as she was feeling a lot better. At least she has kitchen cupboards etc but the work is quite a way from being finished and everywhere is still very chaotic. Good to see her though and we had tomato soup made by m for lunch and then walked into Sherwood for a mooch around and coffee and cake. Wrapped my Christmas presents when I got home and went to collect the turkey. Suddenly felt very tired when I got home so had a very lazy evening and expected to sleep really well but was still awake at 2pm!
