Germany!

So yesterday we got the train to Utrecht (I was a bit over excited that it was a double decker train), then had to change trains to our next destination - Düsseldorf! We checked into our hotel here where we’ll be staying for 3 nights.

This morning the 5 of us met up and walked down to the Rhine and back. It’s a bit overcast and so far from what we’ve seen, Düsseldorf doesn’t seem to be the prettiest. However we were doing a day trip this afternoon. Another train journey took us to … Cologne! There were a LOT of other Scottish parkrunners staying there. Also the Cologne marathon was on so there were a lot of runners there in general!

Stephanie & I wanted to go to the Lindt Chocolate Museum. As Alison, Andrew & Caron weren’t too fussed about visiting it, they went off to meet the rest of the Scottish gang while we joined them after going round the museum.

I think there were 14 of us met up for dinner this evening, has a few drinks in a wee German pub, before our wee group of 5 jumped back on the train to Düsseldorf.
