Christmas Sing-a-long.

I have just returned from our first village Christmas Sing-a-long.
It was planned to have it in the open air but because of the extremely cold weather last week St Paul’s Church very kindly said we could hold it inside the church.
The music was provided by a small section of The Fire Band, ( West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Band) assisted by Oakenshaw Choir.
What a wonderful evening. So good to see the church packed with families, and children of all ages, including young babies.
After singing 18 carols and Christmas songs ( including, O Come All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, and Rudolph.)the mulled wine was very much appreciated.
Needed for medicinal purposes of course to lubricate the throat!
A lovely happy atmosphere as everyone walked back through the village. The Christmas lights shining bright, and above the stars twinkling in the night sky.
Another tradition started tonight.
