Winter Solstice walk
The last guided walk of the year with Glasgow Ramblers, thank goodness. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we were pleased to find the cafe at the Falkirk Wheel unexpectedly open.
The highlight was an amazing fishing display by a kingfisher on the Union Canal, for some it was their first sighting. It’s certainly the best view I’ve ever had, we watched it for several minutes.
We shared mince pies, rocky road cake and refreshers at the Kelpies. They did not however change colour, and we had them in sight for almost an hour. No one seemed to mind.
