Looking out of a side window that overlooks woodland I was delighted this morning to spot this cock pheasant. He ambled about, pecking at the grass and then disappeared over the edge of the marl pit that adjoins our garden. He was looking very smart. We do not adjoin open country so I guess he could have been a bit lost.
