Sailors Cutting

Headed into Oamaru today for supermarket shopping,  and then onto my favourite cheese shop.  We had a cheese tasting platter.  Totally unnecessary as I have a personal relationship with most of their cheeses, but great for treat with coffee.

Then headed up the Waitaki Valley.  A beautiful drive.  A short stop in Kurow (the birthplace of Richie McCaw for those who follow rugby) then another pause at Sailors Cutting where the dogs had a run and I took some photos.

Our final stop at my favourite camp at Lake Benmore.  Camp site set up.  Dogs walked - then brushed thoroughly to rid them of barley grass.  Now it's time to settle in with a book.
