Beautiful day/Mothers Day...

Today is Mothers Day here in New Zealand, always on the second Sunday of May.
So I have had a lovely day, breakfast in bed and a present given to me by Ella which I am still getting over....a new camera!
It was a complete surprise, she has been noticing my renewed interest in photography and went off with her Dad and they got me a CanonSX40 HS. I now need to read up on how to use it.
The weather today has been just amazing , I think all of Christchurch was out and about in the parks and gardens, the temperature was over 20 degrees, and the sky just clear blue, like a mid summer day....Ella and I went into the Botanical Gardens and wandered around and snapped on my iphone (still charging the new cameras battery), seemed to be so many others with cameras I felt like asking them if they were on Blipfoto!
This photo took my fancy, the tree was huge, and still has lots of Autumn colour, the ground is all crunchy with leaves and at first you don't see Ella sitting underneath it.
