I'm an Elf get me out of here!
A mostly quiet day. Mr T had a very restless afternoon and still a bit now. Haven't been able to get to the bottom of it. It's something that does seem to happen, often when the catheter is due for a change (next Sunday) but we did have the TV on this afternoon and the Barrier Reef with David Attenborough had lots of fish and he then kept talking and "seeing" fish. Hoping he settles soon. Also these gloomy days do get him (and me) down. I did try and have a quiet day, and did manage it in the morning, the afternoon less so!
This evening when I came down from sorting out Mr T, I saw the elves were not on their shelf! Hmm, I thought and then I heard panicked voices coming from the sitting room.
'Help me Safety. I'm an Elf get me out of here'!
Now that's not a programme we watch I hasten to add (although I know people say they like it).
'I can't Elf the instructions don't tell me how'.
'You are supposed to be in charge of safety and yesterday we nearly got kebabed and now I'm stuck inside this contraption. I hope no one mistakes me for a firework'!
'I'm sorry Elf, I just wanted us to help Mrs T get these outdoor socket covers out so she could put up the neon garden lights. Mr T comments so often about how he loves the lights and today was so grey and gloomy'.
'We're going to have to wait for Mrs T again Safety! This is becoming a habit'!
'Mrs T! Mrs T. We need help'!
I told them they were kind to try and help but they seemed to cause more mayhem rather than less.
'We're very sorry. Please can you free Elf'?
Elf was duly extracted and they scampered off to their shelf. Whatever will they get up to next. Hope Mum is watching their adventures with her wry smile. xx
