No Flowers Friday

The back garden is still a bit chilly... the grass is an expanse of ice sculptures. I liked this particular early morning shot because the sun is coming around the house to light the fence at the back - a little gold to counter the silver.

It's still too slippery out there to venture out. The fields are still white but while most of the paths are clear now it's the ones that aren't that will ruin the midwinter and place a trembling NHS under even more strain. We're playing safe. And staying warm.

It looks lovely out there, from in here... but I can't avoid thinking about the folk who are out there without a warm home. Not merely the lack of heating but the lack of house. Uk or Ukraine, it's no time to be cold.
