Snow party

I put out some food on the ground, including peanuts and other slightly bigger stuff.  I'd scarcely got back into the house when several gulls joined the usual pigeons and rooks. There is one juvenile, the rest are adults in non-breeding plumage.  We had another big fall of snow this morning, but it has stayed off since then. Tomorrow is forecast to be very cold again.  
The hen guardian has spent the past two nights here because she had school concerts in the evenings, but she's been able to go back home to Huntly this evening. She says that the main roads were clear.
