Finches

Overnight and during the morning, we had lots more snow today, on top of the compressed snow/ice left from last week.  The apple tree beside the feeders was full of birds, mainly chaffinches at first. A bit later, the goldfinches came as well, some in the tree, some straight to the feeders.  Lots more birds were in the garden - blackbirds, rooks, jackdaws, dunnock, robin, starlings, sparrows, woodpecker.
