Follow the Dots

There is nothing more ordinary than a street, but after seeing extraordinary service as a construction road, this is about all that is left of it as big trucks continue to trundle along it in great numbers. The light colored bits are what is left of the surface. The dark lines are wet dirt, resulting in something quite abstract.

I put a picture of the road as we're approaching the bottom of our driveway (where the blue truck is parked).

We don't always have a personal escort when we walk the dog, but it certainly was nice not to have to leap into the bushes when a truck passed, as someone with a stop sign and a hi-viz coat was directing traffic.

I got an email from our neighbor, Janet this morning. The subject line said,THE MOVING TRUCK HAS ARRIVED! Underneath it said, “We are coming home”. My response was some celebratory emojis and, “I’m making the lasagne and the Prosecco is chilling….”

We’re really happy for them. It will be wonderful to have next door neighbors again.

John has another appointment with the dermatologist today at 3pm so I am writing this early because he wants me to go with him. I feel a little bit like his mother rather that his wife when I go with him, but he really can’t remember everything the doctor says, so he wants me to come. We talked a little bit about it over lunch but so we’re on the same page when we get there.

He has responded well to being bombarded with eczema shots and antibiotics so it appears that we’re on the right track. With luck, the results of the biopsies will yield a bit more information.
