ICY BAY

Another busy day.  Finishing off with the Grange U3A Digital Photography Club this afternoon. We showed photos from all members on a theme of, of course, The Bay.  There were a great variety, most staying around Grange or Arnside but some, like me, had gone further to Fleetwood, where The Bay begins and over to Morecambe and Heysham.   All very interesting.

 I have now been persuaded to become the Membershipi Secretary for the Grange & Disrict Photographic Society and be on the Committee eeekkk!!!  I will give it a try to see how it goes.

Before Covid it was a thriving and excellent society, but partly due to covid, but other reasons too) it is very depleted.  The original committee have all now left for many reasons.  So we are trying to keep it going.  The good thing about being on the committee I can make suggestions on how we could, maybe, improve the society.  Don't get me wrong it was good before but had got a little stale I think.  No complaints though because those than ran it did a fantastic job and there were many great photographers, as well as complete novices like myself and I would have been very happy for it to have continued the way it was.  However that is not to be so we will see if we can do anything for it. I will now research and see what other successful societies do to see if we could do anything differently.
